September 2010 The European Parliament launches Green Jobs Initiative EU Commission to submit measures for creating green jobs by 2011The Europe 2020 strategy focuses on the need for a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy. By 2011, the EU Commission is to draw up an employment strategy, to underpin a sustainable economy that creates green jobs and promotes innovation, creativity, education and further education. This is good news for green jobs – and good news for Switzerland.
